Housing Questions

What are my options for overnight accommodations?

If you wish to stay overnight on campus during Alumni Weekend, double-occupancy rooms are available in St. Julie Hall (formerly known as the New Residence Hall) for Friday and Saturday nights (21+ only). Guests may check in after 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, and all guests must check out of the residence hall by 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 4. No exceptions.

If you are arriving prior to Friday night or plan to stay in Boston longer than two nights, please refer to the list of nearby hotels offering a group rate for Emmanuel College alumni and make your reservation before the hotel’s cut-off date. Please be aware that other area colleges have reunions that weekend and hotel rooms may become booked early.

What amenities are included with on-campus accommodations?

All air-conditioned units are provided with limited amenities. Linens (sheets, microfleece blanket, face and bath towels) and a light continental breakfast on Saturday morning are included in the cost of the room.

Each apartment features a full kitchen, living room, two double-occupancy bedrooms and two bathrooms. Guests may want to bring an extra blanket, clothes hangers, an alarm clock, hair dryer, toiletries, hand sanitizer, snacks, water bottle/travel mug, paper products (napkins, paper towels, trash bags) and other conveniences the College will not provide.

Please note that pillows, hangers, irons, ironing boards, microwaves, televisions, and hair dryers are not provided.  ***Pillows are also NOT included: Guests are required to bring their own pillows.***

New England weather in June can be unpredictable, and St. Julie Hall is air conditioned. Depending on the forecast, either a warm blanket or a room fan (or both!) may make your stay more comfortable.

How are residence hall rooms assigned?

Please indicate the name(s) of your preferred roommate(s) on the registration form.

Please select one (1) roommate for your immediate bedroom or three (3) roommates to fill the complete suite of four (4). For those who do not request specific roommate(s) or suitemates, individuals from the same or similar class will be paired randomly to fill each bedroom and suite. Roommate placements cannot be guaranteed unless your requests match those of your friends, and/or you include payment for your roommate(s) at registration. Unconfirmed roommate requests may delay or prevent rooming with the alumni of your choice.

Please indicate on your registration form if you require a handicap accessible room (limited supply available).

Are guests or children permitted in the dorms?

We are unable to accommodate guests under the age of 21 in St. Julie Hall.

Can I bring alcohol into St. Julie Hall?

Alcohol in reasonable amounts may be brought in.
