How do I register for Alumni Weekend?

There are four ways to register:

  1. Online: alumni.emmanuel.edu/alumniweekend/register
  2. Mail: Return the registration form with payment to the address below: The Office of Development and Alumni Relations 400 The Fenway Boston, MA 02115
  3. Fax: Complete the registration form with credit card information and fax to 617-735-9884.
  4. Phone: Call 617-735-9771 with your registration selections and payment information.

MASTERCARD, VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS and DISCOVER are accepted. Checks made payable to Emmanuel College are accepted via mail only. Please note the registration deadline is Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

 

What if I have to cancel? Can I request a refund?

All fees paid for events and on-campus accommodations are non-refundable; however, you may choose to apply your payment to your Class Gift.

 

Can I register on-site?

Yes, you may register on-site; however, you are encouraged to register as early as possible so we can ensure that there is enough food, drink, and staff on hand for all guests.

 

Can I make changes or additions to my registration?

Contact the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 617-735-9771 if you need to make any revisions to your current registration.

 

How can I see who is attending this weekend?

A list of Alumni Weekend attendees is located online. Paper copies of the list will also be available at the registration tables.

 

Can I contribute to my Reunion Class Gift during Alumni Weekend?

Yes, gifts will be accepted throughout the weekend and can be made in person at the registration table or online by visiting www.emmanuel.edu/give.

 

Where can I park during Alumni Weekend?

Ample parking is available on campus. Please check with the officer at the security booth upon arrival and you will be directed where to park. For those staying overnight on campus, 15-minute parking is available outside of St. Ann’s Residence Hall for unloading luggage.

There are a limited number of handicapped parking spaces. Handicapped registration plates or placards are required.

 

Where do I check in when I arrive on campus for Alumni Weekend?

The Jean Yawkey Center will serve as the hub of Alumni Weekend. Here you will pick up your registration materials, a full schedule of events, nametags, room keys (if you're staying on campus), event tickets, maps and anything else you might need for the weekend. Members of the Development and Alumni Relations team will be available to answer any questions you may have or assist you in any way.

Tickets for the Boston Pops concert will be included in your registration materials. The buses to Symphony Hall leave campus at 7:00 p.m. and after this time, unclaimed tickets will be transferred to the will-call desk at Symphony Hall. Please note: tickets will not be mailed to registrants.

Check-in and registration will be staffed at the following times: Friday, June 2 – 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, June 3 – 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday, June 4 – 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

 

What is the recommended attire for the weekend?

Recommended attire for most Alumni Weekend events is casual. Those attending the Boston Pops concert on Friday night may choose to wear business casual attire. For Saturday evening’s Cocktail Reception and Reunion Celebration Dinners, cocktail attire is recommended. Business casual attire is recommended for Sunday’s Liturgy and Brunches.

Will donors be recognized at Alumni Weekend?

“Proud Donor” badges recognize those alumni that have made a gift to the college this year and will be distributed at registration. We are grateful for the support of our alumni who help to continue making the Emmanuel experience possible for all of our students. We hope everyone will make a gift in honor of their reunion and wear the badge throughout the weekend with pride!

 

Will the Emmanuel College Bookstore be open?

Yes, the bookstore will be open throughout Alumni Weekend. The Bookstore is located on the second floor of the Jean Yawkey Center to the left after you exit the elevator. The hours of operation will be available in the Alumni Weekend booklet, which is distributed upon your arrival at Alumni Weekend.

 

Will the Fitness Center be open and available for use?

Yes. The Fitness Center is located on the first floor of the Jean Yawkey Center to the left as you walk through the doors. The hours of operation will be available in the Alumni Weekend booklet, which is distributed upon your arrival at Alumni Weekend.

 

Is there a lost and found?

Yes, Campus Safety maintains the lost and found for the campus. Campus Safety is located in Room 139 of the Administration Building. They can be reached by calling 617-735-9710.

 

What is the rain policy?

In the case of inclement weather, check @EmmanuelAlumni on Twitter or Emmanuel College Alumni on Facebook for updates. All events will be held rain or shine but locations may change.

 

What are my options for overnight accommodations?

If you wish to stay overnight on campus during Alumni Weekend, double-occupancy rooms are available in St. Ann’s Hall for Friday and Saturday nights. All guests must check out of St. Ann’s Hall by 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 4th. No Exceptions.

If you are arriving prior to Friday night or plan to stay in Boston longer than two nights, please refer to the list of nearby hotels offering a group rate for Emmanuel College alumni and make your reservation before the hotel’s cut-off date. Please be aware that other area colleges have reunions that weekend and hotel rooms may become booked early.

 

What amenities are included with on-campus accommodations?

Continental breakfast and linens (sheets, light blanket, pillow, face and bath towels) are included in the cost of the room. Rooms are double occupancy with shared bathroom facilities. Plan to bring your own toiletries, alarm clock, clothes hangers and an extra blanket or firm pillow if you choose. Please note that irons, ironing boards, microwaves, televisions, and hair dryers are not available.

 

How are residence hall rooms assigned?

Roommate requests are encouraged and may be submitted when you register. Those who do not indicate a roommate preference for the weekend will be matched with someone, generally from the same class year. Please indicate on your registration form if you require a handicap accessible or single room. Single rooms are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis depending on registration date.

 

Are guests or children permitted in the dorms?

We regret that we are unable to accommodate guests under the age of 18 in St. Ann’s Hall.

 

Can I bring alcohol into St. Ann’s Hall?

Alcohol in reasonable amounts may be brought in.
