4th Annual Young Alumni Service Trip

New Orleans, LA - December 28, 2014 - January 4, 2015

Emmanuel College is deeply committed to social justice and is dedicated to our mission of serving our community. In a recent survey, it was reported that young alumni are interested in continuing to be connected to Emmanuel through service.

In an effort to meet the needs of both our young alumni and those who we serve, the Center for Mission Engagement is sponsoring a Young Alumni Service Trip to New Orleans, Louisiana the week of December 29, 2014. As we have many young alumni working in the field of education, the service trip will be offered over the Christmas holiday. Participants will be responsible for airfare from their current location and a fee of $350.00 to cover the cost of the service trip.

Emmanuel will partner with the Duchesne Volunteer House in New Orleans as well as the St. Bernard Project for this service trip. Volunteers will rebuild homes destroyed in the wake of Hurricane Katrina as well as have an opportunity to immerse themselves in the unique culture and faith of New Orleans. Emmanuel young alumni will also have the opportunity to discover the city through tourism activities.

If you are interested in this opportunity and would like an application, please email mission@emmanuel.edu by November 7, 2014!  If you cannot make this trip, but would like to give a gift to the Center for Mission Engagement, please click here.
