Emmanuel Launches New Major in Biotechnology
Beginning in Fall 2022, Emmanuel College will offer a major in biotechnology within the School of Science & Health. In a city with a rapidly expanding biotech industry and a shortage in trained workforce, Emmanuel’s program has been designed to meet the evolving needs of both undergraduates and professions.

Hovsepian Family Establishes the Paul Shannahan Wenger CURE Laboratory at Emmanuel College

Megan Shannahan Hovsepian ’83 and Ronald Hovsepian recently made a gift of $500,000 to establish the Paul Shannahan Wenger CURE Laboratory in honor of their late nephew. The CURE Laboratory will integrate course-based undergraduate research experience (CUREs) for biology students, setting Emmanuel apart as one of the only institutions in the nation to offer such a program.
